Financial Analyst — USA Division

Mongolia / USA Division

Gobi Cashmere is Mongolia’s largest internationally operating cashmere apparel brand. The company sources raw cashmere from countryside herders and turns it into fashion apparel for international markets.

Worked as the sole financial analyst for the USA division, reporting to the USA CEO and the group Chief Finance and Strategy Officer.

Automated a daily cash-flow reporting process using Excel, VBA, Power Query, formulas, dropdown categorization, and structured formatting, reducing almost a full day of manual work to approximately 30 minutes.

Work included

  • Prepared daily cash-flow reports and monitored whether actual cash movement followed monthly and annual plans.
  • Prepared daily KPI reports based on revenue and cash-based expenses.
  • Created weekly cash-flow reports and performed variance analysis.
  • Prepared monthly unit profitability plans and compared actual performance against plan.
  • Worked on income statement planning, inventory reports, inventory aging reports, profitability analysis, and accounts receivable analysis.
  • Created sales and performance dashboards covering revenue, gross profit, ROAS, sales by channel, sales by region, and best-selling designs.
  • Worked with marketing on campaign performance and ROAS, with merchandising on discount decisions, and with logistics and production on inventory and product planning.
  • Supported financial planning for a potential Australian market expansion, including break-even analysis, revenue forecasts, cost and HR structure, scenario analysis, and market research.

TESO Investment

Lead Finance Manager

Mongolia

TESO Investment is an investment and venture-building company that develops, launches, and invests in new businesses in the Mongolian market.

Led the finance function, built financial planning and reporting structures from the ground up, and supported the financial development and launch of 18 businesses.

Helped build the finance function and reporting infrastructure for 18 venture projects from an early stage, including board reporting, project-level models, and financial review processes.

Work included

  • Built financial models and reporting structures for businesses across different industries, including coffee roasting, bioactive supplements, software development, pet food and snacks, flight and hotel booking, and basalt wool building materials.
  • Prepared and reviewed market-entry plans, revenue forecasts, profitability plans, pricing analysis, break-even analysis, inventory plans, HR and salary plans, cash-flow plans, and funding needs analysis.
  • Created separate industry-specific financial models instead of using one standard model for all projects.
  • Reviewed financial reports prepared by the finance team and reported project-level performance to the board.
  • Used Power BI regularly for board reporting and project performance monitoring.
  • Directly supervised a senior accountant, accountant, financial analyst, data analyst, and economist.
  • Indirectly coordinated 26 accountants across 18 project companies.
  • Hired, trained, managed, and supervised most members of the direct finance team.
  • Held monthly meetings with project leads and CEOs to review progress, discuss variances, and identify cost optimization opportunities.

EGGER is a European industrial group in wood-based materials with international operations and cross-border corporate structures.

Worked as a part-time intern in the Finance/Administration Overseas department, supporting CFO-level projects connected to finance, controlling, legal, HR, risk management, and administration.

Automated corporate administration processes connected to credit card issuance and trademark tracking, while supporting compliance, documentation, approval logic, and monthly follow-up.

Work included

  • Supported the CFO of the Overseas Business Unit on projects connected to finance, controlling, legal, HR, risk management, and administration.
  • Collected provider offers and coordinated work for a global outsourcing tender for group sales hubs.
  • Built an automated process for tracking trademark registrations and trademark infringements.
  • Automated the corporate credit card issuance process using Power Automate.
  • Worked on policy compliance, approval logic, documentation, legality checks, and risk-related considerations for the modular corporate card issuance process.
  • Coordinated documents, signatures, and process steps for a director change in an EGGER legal entity in China.
